Just spend the extra $5-10 for Hall effects on the same Amazon page for the 2C

They're taking about the 100% optional Dualsense Edge controller that has a ton of extra features and swappable parts, so not comparable at all to this conversation.

Will these accessories work with the switch 2? Also, is the lack of Hall Effect important?

What makes this cheaper than the regular Ultimate 2 Bluetooth version that costs $50-60? Does it work as a gyro controller in Steam?

Supposedly, the same controllers that work for switch 1 work for switch 2. I guess we'll all find out in the coming week. I ordered 1 hoping it will work with Switch 2 tomorrow since all 4 household members will want to play MK.

For certain the Pro Controllers were confirmed to work with Switch 2. Same with the Classic controllers (SNES, N64, Genesis). Apparently even the older joycons work but you'll need an alternate way to connect/charge them due to the different track system.

Can anyone comment how these compare with the Nintendo Pro controllers?

These all say for switch but could you use them for PC games too since it's Bluetooth?

For hall effect, no real way to be certain, but I'd pay the extra personally. For my Nintendo controllers they all ended up with drift within a year or 2. I've had my ps4 controller for many years with no issues so not sure why so many issues with Nintendo vs Sony. Stick drift is an issue but no way to know if you'll have to deal with it.

I swear....every single 8Bitdo seems to have a huge missing feature or strange omission. If it has back buttons, it lacks gyro, if it has gyro it has no back buttons, if there is a Xbox logo then it might not have bluetooth or is (needlessly) it is missing something else random like Hall effect (whatever), the wired version of a model number rarely share the same features of the wireless model of the otherwise exact same model #.

Dear 8Bitdo cut your number of SKU's by 90% but not needlessly omitting features. Probably would lower your overall cost of production and distribution even if the individual controllers might technically cost negligibly more.
