I would try to find out what and how she carries her stuff on long runs (10+ miles is what I am considering a long run for the purpose of this response). If carrying a key, phone, etc seem to be an issue for her then this could fit a particular niche.
Personally I use a fanny pack with water holster for long runs. For marathon distance training runs I wear a vest with a water reservoir. Both of those have sufficient pockets that I would not use this Adidas pocket thing. I actually could see it having utility on shorter runs where a full water setup isn't necessary. For those instances I just need somewhere to hold my phone and a key.
Damn it. I think I just talked myself into buying this thing.

From the pictures and how it's shaped I think it will bounce too much for longer distances. The reviews also say the same thing. You'll probably want to get one that is shaped more like the flipbelt. I have one that I got from Amazon and it works amazing for longer runs. Maybe a vest will also be a good option like 5 liters or something to carry just the essentials.
