Love me some cold brew but why not buy a pitcher or gallon mason jar and a filter insert? It takes some ground coffee and water. I make it for myself far cheaper. Convenient I guess though.

I agree. This is still very expensive. Cold brew is so easy and convenient to make at home. Also very forgiving compared to other brewing methods.

100%. Make a one time investment in Hario bottles.
Echo what others have said. Just make your own at home. This is not a good deal to me. I usually will have 16 oz of cold brew so that comes out to about $4 per drink for me. I make my own cold brew at home with quality beans for much less.
I get you pay for convenience... but cold brew is extremely cheap and easy to produce. A 64oz mason jar, some cheese cloth, coarse ground coffee, and 24 hours is all you need. It only costs around $3 per 64oz jar to make. With this you are paying 8x as much for likely an inferior product.

Those of you thinking of making your own cold brew:
You don't even necessarily need the cheese cloth or filter insert if you have a coffee machine at home. Just put a normal coffee filter in the brew basket of your drip machine and pour the liquid from the mason jar of coffee slurry into it. If you want a faster process, just try to keep most of the ground muck from going in the basket.

Yup I'm heavy handed with the grounds and 17$ in fancy coffee (I use bones because the flavors) and I can make several gallons. It's just best to give it 12+ hours, I shoot for 24 usually but less is fine.

Which coffee beans do you use? I've been using Costco beans because they're inexpensive and convenient, but am not in love with them.
