FYI this charger is a bit thicker, so depending on how close your plugs are, it might take up the space next to the other one.

Anker actually has newer slim 100w version, but it does cost more & it's just a tad longer. So slimmer and longer - but won't take up two plugs if they're close together.

The newer model you're referring to is on sale as well for $45 https://costco.anker.com/collecti...-c-charger The problem with this model is it overheats and throttles the output wattage faster, making it less ideal for charging laptops or other high power devices. The model I posted will run hotter, but won't throttle it's output as fast.

hmm, for whatever reason, the link you provided doesn't work. It does to a Page Not Found Error Page. Maybe CostcoNext took it off their website.

is it this model you're talking about? it was listed on slickdeals on 4/21 and it 's the one i'm talking about that's slimmer but a bit longer: https://slickdeals.net/f/18267685-anker-prime-charger-100w-3-port-gan-usb-c-charger-block-foldable-a...

Anker Prime Charger, 100W 3-Port GaN USB C Charger Block, Foldable and Compact for MacBook, iPad, iPhone Series, Galaxy S24/S23, and more

Model Number A2688
UPC 194644040635
ASIN B0CZ6LXL8R

wasn't aware of the overheating and output throttling.

good to know

EDIT: i just read all of the 1 star reviews on Amazon and saw that many users have that overheating & output throttling that you describe. ah, I haven't experienced any of that yet, but makes me wanna return mine but i'm way past the returns window on Amazon

Thanks for letting me know. Yes, this is the model I was referring to. I also updated the link to https://costco.anker.com/collecti...-c-charger

Also, the newer model supports fewer charging profiles. This is probably not a big deal for most users, but may be a deal breaker for others.

Yes, you're not going to get 100W without USB-PD....

FWIW I have several of these chargers, both this style and the newer slim one. They work great and deliver super fast charging as advertised, however i have noticed one quirk that all three i own exhibit.

If you have a devices plugged in and charging, and you plug in an additional device, the charger will "reset" itself and stop/ start charging the existing device a well as the new. My phones/ tablets all react like they've been unplugged and plugged in again.

Not a huge deal I guess, but the problem I've noticed is threefold:
1) some of my devices will detect that unplug/ plug and show down their charging rates
2) if you're using something that needs constant power, like LEDs or a RaspberryPi or whatever, it will temporarily interrupt their power
3) when I connect a wireless charging pad, it will tend to cycle on and off with this block and causes some weird feedback, and will cycle the other devices repeatedly.

Just my 2c, and since it happens on all 3 units I own i suspect it's part of the protection design of this block.

What is GaN and PD. Searched but both helps to charge faster, more efficient and no over heating

Amazon same price with a USB C cable. Slightly different look as it's cobranded with Fragment https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...VXLJ&psc=1

Anker's product lineup is very confusing. The model you posted does look exactly the same, but it also comes with a USB C cable, a bag, and some other accessories.

GaN (Gallium nitride) is just a material that lets them make the charger smaller.
PD (Power Delivery) is a standard by which the voltage is negotiated between the charger and device, allowing for more flexibility. You couldn't plug your phone into your laptop's charger 10 years ago.
