I have the 40V one. That's DTO sale pricing, which is a good price. About what I paid for my 1st one.

Ended up picking up a 2nd one from FB Marketplace for $150. Now I can use all 8+ of my batteries, as needed....

As a huge Ryobi fan, I came here to say that you should read other threads on this product on SD.

It may not be as practical as a non-Ryobi (standalone) system even if you are heavily invested in the eco systems.

This would be something I would be interested in; it just didn't compare. Go read up for yourself as my memory on the specifics is fuzzy

Basically, for the Ryobi 40v, IF you dont have 3+ batteries already, it's not worth it.

Double that for the 18v version.

BUT if you have 4+ (or 8+ like I do), it's a good option to a stand alone power station.

Already have 4 batteries for my lawn equipment. I have a portable generator set up to use LNG and power most of my home, but I really like the idea of having something that can be deployed quickly or used for shorter outages. Also looks nice as a beach battery system or something I could loan out after a hurricane when my generator would be running.

Does anyone know how it handles using different battery sizes? Mine are 6, 4, 4, and 2ah.

I think I've convinced myself if I can find one on clearance.

There are new battery technologies and I understood that RYOBI is going to replicate the DeWalt thing and move to 20V and 60V (FlexVolt).
So 40V is going to be phased out soon, especially after the recent recalls. Many products like the Shopvac are already delisted.

I found both versions in stock, but all full price. Might try a couple other stores on my way home.

Each 40v battery gives it 400W worth of capacity. So it can use all 4 of your batteries, to start with, to the full 1600W continuous capacity. Once the 2ah is drained, the unit can handle 1200W...etc.
