While as Meta employee, I personally own them and find them a fantastic device with a short battery live, you're right. Your data is used for Meta AI training and there is no way to opt-out, same goes for any Meta product or service including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.

I just saw these at target. While they're pretty cool, I can't justify the price myself as I tend to place my sunglasses down and forget them. Hence why all my sunglasses are just $10 or less, so I don't feel too bad if I lose them. If I'm going to spy for the Zuck, these need to be $150 or less for me

I got these through verizon home internet for free when i signed up for home internet. I lost them this past weekend while tubing in a river (totally my fault), but does anyone know of any sort of warranty or anything that would cover this loss? My normal Verizon mobile protection plan does NOT cover them...I already called and asked. Just curious before I potentially spend money to replace them.
Nope, especially you didn't really pay for them...

If you bought them with a credit card, that may have come with a protection policy that covers lost or stolen purchases + adds a year to the warranty. E.g. Chase Freedom has this... its worth checking.

Waiting for ones that have an actual display. And also aren't made by Meta.

Do they make this in xl for people with big heads ? They were too small for me . Also the 1-3 minute video restriction makes this a weird purchase

Assuming these are paperweights if you're not a meta/Facebook user?
