What's the point of making toast that you can't eat with jam?
Most toasters have metal heating filaments, like a thicker filament from an old-school lightbulb. Like those filaments, they are rather fragile especially after they've been heated up and cooled down a bunch. The problem was shaking it violently. Just don't do that.
