Good price typically get 2 batteries and charger for $100. So you're basically getting a free drill.

Edit: saw that a year ago they had a drill, impact driver, (2) 2ah batteries, and charger for $129 at Lowe's. Now that was a deal.

Not a bad set if you just need a drill and extra batteries. If you need a impact driver as well Amazon has the combo set for $130 [amazon.com].

Just note, at higher speeds, the chuck will loosen up on the drill if you stop the trigger immediately. It's not a problem at the lower speed setting, but just be aware of it since it caught me off guard and I dropped a drill bit off a ladder which was not fun to recover.

metabo is formerly hitachi btw. this is good value especially with the batteries.

Was this on a locked chuck? On my metabo hpt (and actually my other drills too) after you tighten it to the drill bit. You slight turn left and itll click lock in.

Yeah, the chuck will lock properly, but come lose because the stopping force at high speed causes the chuck to loosen. Still, at lower speed it works fine.

Having the same issue. Seems like a design defect that Metabo HPT need to correct.

I would just run to harbor freight and get the Hercules brand.. pricing is very similar. 70 bucks or 98 with two batteries. And locally available. It's all made in China anyways. But harbor freight warranty is unbeatable if it breaks u just bring it in they swap it on the spot most of the times.
