I bought this TV a couple months back at 499 and it was a great deal at that price so for 419 this is really good. I am extremely happy with it. It has no light bleed around the edges like most of these low-cost TVs have especially the Hisense and very little blooming. The local dimming does a really good job. The sound is also good even though I have a receiver hooked up to it but the TV has a built-in subwoofer. If anybody has questions about this TV just ask. The fire TV built in on this TV is kind of laggy but I have a fire cube 3rd gen hooked up to it so that didn't really matter to me.
The Q651 is different than the Q681. The Q681 series (not tested by Rtings) does have local dimming as it says on the BB website. Also... the Q651 has been updated to Rtings' latest testing method (more strict v2.0) while the DU7200 (v1.11) has not. FWIW... the Q651 rated higher than the DU7200 under testing method v1.11.

Biggest differences are... the 2023 Q7 series adds: 120Hz panel, more brightness, more dimming zones.

Just get a Roku to plug in. The built in options tend to be slow anyways

I've a Sony Bravia KDL-55EX500 from 2010 (which was a free warranty replacement for a DLP projection tv from 2007) that just won't die 😭

Amazon has it for the same price with free deluxe delivery. Which just means they put it in the room you want, unbox it, and remove the packaging

apologies for being a bit OT here; i have two tcl roku tvs from like 2018 and a standalone roku ultra (and a couple chromecasts) and they're indistinguishable in speeds, and all still getting updates, so idk why everyone's saying an external roku is faster..? if it helps, i don't have a ton of apps ("channels"), maybe a couple dozen, enough to get the occasional (re)"loading".

plus, how much more complicated is it with an e-arc setup (to a receiver), and the multiple remotes? idk i'm not seeing much in the way of pros but noticed it seems like fewer manufacturers are making them since roku brought out their own lineup so i don't really see much in the way of other choices, particularly as you hit higher-end features like full-array dimming, mini-led, etc. is that just what everyone who prefers roku is doing? getting whatever smart tv platform, and then just separate rokus, and using hdmi-cec to reduce the remotes?

idk i guess i just someone would be actually helpful and point me to the roku tv version of this tv, assuming one existed, instead of the obvious workaround. my bad

Should I go with this TV or the one from Costco which is 110 more? Want a decent TV for bedroom. https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/1106626 Seems like the Costco comes with 5 year warranty as well

Appreciate any advice!

This is not local dimming it also gets a worse rating than the Samsung DU7200 that was $399 at Walmart the other week https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...q651g-qled
This is 25" away from 100" which sell for well over $2K. What do you expect?

Ok so that's the same TV but it's certainly not the same price as it's not even available.
