Kind of - I've used many a variety of dishwasher, washing machine, etc pods/pucks/etc that all claim they do the same general thing, but the one thing they all cannot do, is... scrub. That friction matters.
Dishwasher will look 'clean' on the walls, but check the drain. The sludge is still there as it simply cannot agitate it off, so you may think your dishwasher is clean, but the innards are not. That sludge gets steamed and creeps back up, often being the film that ends up on the walls (and dishes!) you think you're solving with these pucks.
Same goes for similar washing machine pucks/pods/etc. The rubber seal that tends to get moldy, won't ever be clean (even if running cycles with straight bleach) without.... agitating/scrubbing. Bleach alone can't cut through it all, nor can the pucks.
In other words, these aren't bad, but they are NOT 100% your solution. Elbow grease is.
You've never cleaned your bathtub or shower? You WASH yourself in those…and they also need to be WASHED…
The washing machine cleaner tablets work well, I throw in a couple once a month, but I bought a pack of 48 for $10 from Amazon within the last year, so I don't think 24 tablets for $16 is a particularly good price.

Last week I ordered some for the garbage disposal and they suck! Tried 3 different times and they failed to do nothing! Back they went. I also ordered some for the washing machine on my next subscribe & save delivery, but don't have much faith they'll work either!

I've had these for maybe a year now, because last time there was a deal, someone claiming to be a plumber specifically recommended them. They are just okay. Honestly I think the Affresh tablets work better and keep the smells away for longer. Even doubling up, they don't seem to do anything differently than the tons of other products out there.

How do you clean the filter?

With the dishwasher filter, take it out and wash with soap. My washing machine doesn't have any filters.

All the soap/detergent products (and chlorine bleach) are basic - as in the Acid/Base you might have learned in Chemistry.
Vinegar - acidic turns the tables in a lot of ways and can be a good and inexpensive cleaner. Try it in you washer & dishwasher. As for disposers, people & manufacturers often called for grinding Orange or Lemon peels, or, running Baking Soda (another Base), and, lastly, running the grinder with ice cubes in it to knock the dirt loose and not re-deposit it.
Will any of these Work ?
All I'll guarantee is that they're cheap, and easy enough to try. Report back!

Just buy a big bag of citric acid and use that and add some oxi and save $$$. This is essentially just that.

And run the washing machine on a high-temp cycle once in a while, also helps.

Got a place you'd recommend buying the citric acid from?
