This is not a bad deal for something that will thrash any Athlon or Pentium/Celeron. Good ultra budget CPU to pair with something like a 1660 Super or a 3050 for 1080p

I disagree. A Ryzen 4500 is $65 on newegg right now. $6 gets you 2 more cores/4 more threads.

Spend the extra $15 for twice the processor— especially if you plan on gaming on it!

Lets just agree to disagree on who wants to build the fastest/shittiest computer.

I have a hardly used rtx 2060 sitting here since my desktop started having bluescreen issues awhile back. I've been using my laptop "Dell Inspiron 15 7559" for the time being, but I have 3 hard drives in my desktop that I would like to use again, and kinda worried about this old laptop eventually having issues. I have almost everything for a pc desktop build, new power supply, the 2060 vid card. pc tower. I just want to put together something as cheap as I can that will run good wih the rtx 2060, I dont mind if its the fastest/shittiest computer, it'll beat my current dead desktop.

There isn't as much bang for your buck past a certain point. A 5500 benches (passmark) about 1.7x of what a 4100 does and costs 1.7x more ($30+ more). A 9950X3D benches about 3.5x what a 5500 does and costs 10x ($600+ more).

I built an extra gaming PC for my kids around the Ryzen 5500 and a used GTX 1080. Total cost under $300 with parts laying around and cheap motherboard/free 32g ram from Newegg. It kicks ass. 1080p gaming champ. Easily pushes 144 frames
