ugh, they snuck the sh*tty 60hz display back in. Would love to get the 120hz version of this or a black s16 with a 370 instead of a 365... seems like only MicroCenter sells these variations and the rest of the world is stuck with the BB / Costco builds.

The good, it has great battery, decent screen, not loud, powerful APU (CPU + GPU), tons of memory, huge storage space.
The okish, non-touch screen, at 60hz, and colors don't look so nice even compared to ipad mini, keyboard is so-so, touchpad is so-so, materials feel so-so.
The bad, at $1000 still too pricy for what you are actually getting.
I feel that too many compromises were made here to justify the other laptops that asus make with this same hx 370 chip. Just differentiating this laptop with worse screen, keyboard, and materials for no reason.
I think at $700 it would be an awesome deal, considering the s16 version went on sale for $1000 at microcenter a few months ago.

I am sorry but most of what you are saying here doesn't make too much sense to me.
Great battery? I suppose this is subjective but these Ryzens while not bad aren't really making the cut in terms of what goes as "great" battery life these days. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with 60Hz, this is still an OLED and even one which hits 600 nits, a comparison to iPad mini with its IPS screen is honestly laughable.
