It's back. Outback Steakhouse offers the following Summer promotion.

Free Kids Meal [outback.com] with Purchase of an Adult Entree

Valid on Mondays, May 26 - Sept. 1, 2025

For Dine-in
Mention "KIDS EAT FREE" to your server.

For Online To Go
Use Promo Code "JOEYFREE" "FREEJOEY". Note, the code on the website is incorrect. It should be FREEJOEY, not JOEYFREE. Upper and lower case worked for me (with FREEJOEY or freejoey). Thanks to thebigcountry for discovering this.

You can see the Kids menu choices here [outback.com]. Below are their regular prices at my local restaurant.
  • Chicken Fingers - $9.99
  • Grilled Cheese-A-Roo - $7.99
  • Boomerang Cheeseburger - $9.99
  • Grilled Chicken on the Barbie - $9.99
  • Mac 'A' Roo 'N Cheese - $7.99
  • Joey Sirloin - $11.99
Tip: when dining in, stack with the 3 course meal starting at $14.99 [outback.com] and order the Joey Sirloin kids meal. For $14.99, get a Bloomin Burger or shrimp entree with 1 side, soup or salad, and a slice of cheesecake, plus get the Joey Sirloin free. Note, the 3 course meal for $14.99 is not on the regular menu. There's a special menu for it. If its not on your table, you have to ask for it.

I'm doing a togo order right now, and it is not accepting JOEYFREE on the kids steak "basket does not contact a discount eligible item" I even tried it with chicken fingers and same error.

EDIT "freejoey" worked, must be lowercase

Interesting. The promo code on the website is incorrect. Thanks for pointing this out. However, I got both upper and lower case to work - "FREEJOEY" or "freejoey".

"JOEYFREE" (code on website) does not work. They got the words transposed. I have updated the original post to correct this.

The one thing I love about Outback Steakhouse is that they give away little souvenirs with the meals. For Shark Week, I received two shark figurines. I also received a koala on the walla (I did not get the drink with the koala climbing the straw though). Would be cool if they gave you a little kangaroo with the kid's meal.
The cheapest in my area is going for lunch portions (no 3 course meal offered at the location nearest to me) and then getting the kid's meal. I will have to do this the next time I work from home.

Edit: I did a soup/salad combo that came out to $9.99. Talk about portion control! So basically a BOGO.
Edit edit: The above suggestion is good for togo orders. The 3 course meal for $14.99 is for dine in only.
Edit edit edit: Online ordering, I am getting "error validating basket."

Are there any cheaper qualifying entrées than the 14.99 3 course? And will they let you get a free meal dining in if you don't have any kids with you?

Is soup/salad combo a lunch only item?

Isnt it only one kids meal that is discounted for the entire table (not one kid meal per adult meal)?
