You would pay your state sales tax regardless of the coupon or not though??? You should only consider the price of the item, sales tax will always be there regardless of the coupons
If you don't pay attention, it makes the price look the same as before the discount essentially. So it's possible someone might think it "didn't work" when they still see $650+ as the final price. But yeah you're right
