I would spend a few extra dollars and get this enclosure personally.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097H7JZVG

The main issue I have with the advertised one is the silicon/rubber nub that holds the NVME drive in place. With heat and time this piece will degrade, or if you swap out drives with any frequency, it will eventually fail from repeated stress. In contrast, the enclosure I linked uses a screw and brass nut to secure the drive, and it should last indefinitely.

are you getting any good speeds with this? i have a Sabrent version, supposed to be about 1GB/s like this one, but am only getting no more than 200MB/s. motherboard fully supports usb 3.2.
make sure your drive supports the speeds you think it can do.
double check the cable
double check the usb-c port.

im using my enclosure with Samsung 2TB 990 EVO Plus PCIe 5.0 x2 M.2 and im maxing 10gbps throughput on my mac mini m4

I've been using this for a year without a problem. It's used for my retro arcade and stays on for days at a time. I switched to this b/c my Samsung FIT usb drives tend to disconnect after a day or so. Only quirk is in windows this adapter will never allow me to eject the usb device due to it "currently in use."
I never cared enough to try to figure it out and would not be surprised if it's related to my ASUS laptop.

Speeds are great, last time I ran crystaldiskmark I managed about 1GB/s average with the drive 90% full so I'd say it does as advertised. I would check your drivers/the SSD itself, testing on a separate machine would show if it's an issue with the drive or the enclosure

GARBAGE.
Literally hot POS.

Check Reddit. It's flimsy. It's literally hanging by the USB C point of contact. Spend 3-5 more bucks to get the Ugreen.

This is ridiculous- SD needs to stop advertising POS items.

yes I just bought one. might have ruined my newly NVMe. I am returning it and will make sure to leave a review in Amazon. what a POS.

FYI, this one comes with several replacements for the silicone nub; they should easily last longer than you'll need the enclosure for
