Yeah, not much good but maybe holding a umbrella or temporary use outside. They don't hold up in weather for crap. I moved on to better straps years ago. These are almost "use in a pinch", pardon the pun.

The use on a car luggage rack in the above pic, has to be a joke, and not a very good one.

I've had this happen. Luckily it caught me right below my eye on the cheek bone. It's been so long ago but I'm sure I was using a weathered and ratty pair that should've been thrown away and I just grabbed em.
