The tv in the photo is too dang high. Why get a tv stand and not put the tv on it?

Um, to put your devices on? I have a similar setup. My TV is wall mounted and my gaming consoles, Apple TV, 4K Blu-ray player, and networking equipment is all on the media center.

To all interested, this is a great deal. However, keep in mind that you are trading storage space for the fireplace.

It needs to be at least 18" from your fireplace to avoid heat to reach your tv from your fireplace

It's an electric fireplace, this is not true. The top doesn't get hot at all.
