No one wants a free crappy 32" monitor and headset. Samsung please just sell the 57 G9 for $1200 and get rid of the bundles.

They are probably getting ready to refresh this model given the pattern with the other ultrawides and super-ultrawides going on sale lately. If 1500 isnt your price point then wait, i guess. Personally I think this is a fair price even if the extras arent valued (but the monitor and headset in this case are both very high quality)

This monitor used to sell for $1250ish.
$1500 is far away to be a deal.

I bought one for $800 (though it was an obvious mistake), so I'm ruined looking at this pricing.

this deal would be around the same value if you can sell the headset and extra monitor on craigslist. while there may be some effort in doing so, new in box items shouldn't be such a hard local sell

Same. I keep waiting for it to fall back to that level, lol. Would probably grab it even though I have a G7 and a G8 OLED.

Except you won't, because nobody on CL will pay you anything near $300 for both of them. Nobody there cares that it's a better-than-average monitor - they'll see whatever local piece of 32 inch crap Costco is selling for $200 that week and offer you half that.

Actually I do, I have a need for a monitor for my kid as well and a headset for her. I would have bought this at the 1500 mark anyway so this is a great deal.

I own this. Definitely paid significantly less last year around Black Friday/ holiday time. Love it. Not a gamer but it's awesome for both my personal use and work. My work- issued laptop definitely struggles to power all of the pixels but my modestly priced Mini PC can achieve 120 hertz. One of my favorite features is that its PBP mode can split the monitor three ways into three virtual monitors, which allows me to split between my work and play computers depending on how hard I'm working that day 🙂. By partitioning it, it's also very beneficial for screen sharing at work Tragically when I was transporting this monitor, in it's original box and packaging, it got a scratch/gouge in it and I've been told there's no sense to repair it as the repair would cost more than replacing it knew. Are there any other 57 inch comparable ultra wide monitors? I believe I saw Acer makes one now?

Is there any easy to meet criteria for their offers program if your work isn't a part of the program?

New in box on ebay is $250 for the monitor, and $110 for the headset, you can look at the completed sales for yourself to see. Making 300 off those is absolutely within reach.

not when people start buying this bundle and flood the market with the headset and 4k monitor because they are trying to get rid of it 😁

The number of people who have both an edu account and a thirst for a $1250 monitor is not that big, compared to the size of Ebay.
