I've been shopping for an ultrawide this size. what do we think about this deal if the extra monitor can be sold for $100 on craigslist? Is it worth waiting for the near future for a better deal on a 57" ultrawide?

It's been cheaper before... like 1200ish.
I'm waiting for a better price to upgrade my 49"

Are there any trade in options available for monitors? I already have the 49'' and want to upgrade. 😩

I've had this monitor for a year now, bought it directly from Samsung and picked it up at Best buy. You might want to keep an eye out for cb deals. Here You'd have to sell the monitor which might be a bit of work. The 57 incher itself is amazing. I didn't want OLED because I was always afraid of burn in and didn't want to have to worry about it. I've always had multiple monitors but from a usability standpoint. This has been a revelation just to have everything in one monitor which is a subtle difference but definitely feels much easier to use and more convenient for trying to deal with multiple separate monitors. To the question that was asked before, you can easily see the impact from a wit standpoint, but from a depth standpoint is another question which I didn't take into account enough. My desk is pretty shallow and it does feel like the monitor is a little bit more forward or too close to me, but there's not a lot I can do about that. I got lucky, no bad pixels. If you're the kind of person who's in the market for this, and you know who you are, you won't go back.

thanks for the insight. I'm debating between this and the equivalent of it in the form of 2 separate 4k monitors for productivity only. It's about a 1K difference in price between the two, but I'd be willing to pay it if having it all in one monitor really is that much better for workflow. What is it about having it all on one monitor that makes that additional 1K worth paying for, for you?

Here's the review from RTINGS. The positives to Mini-LED vs OLED is that Mini-LED can get generally much brighter and I don't believe has risk of burn-in like OLED does.
RTINGS from what I can tell gave it an 8.1/10 back when they reviewed it.

Looks pretty sick. I work on a 65-inch Samsung QN800 8K monitor at 100% scaling. I can just barely read the text at the far corners when sitting 24 inches from the center of the screen. If I could get a full 8K with a curve like this Samsung, I would jump in an instant. For anyone that doesn't need the extra vertical resolution of 8K....I'd give this a shot.

Had this monitor for 6 weeks, and absolutely loved it for home office and productivity purposes. Sadly it took a fatal tumble while my son was "helping" move furniture around. Not sure I can bring myself to buy it all over again given I just bought the first (now broken) one in March, but highly highly highly recommend this monitor for anyone on the fence.

30" desk depth is the minimum for this monitor. You should be fine if you have it all the way at the back of the desk or on a monitor arm.
