I absolutely love this monitor paired with my 3090 GPU. I'm able to run it as full resolution at 120Hz since my GPU doesn't support DisplayPort 2.1. If you plan on getting this monitor for gaming, I highly recommend a beefy GPU.

I love the idea of these for gaming, but only a tiny few have any true support. so buy it for productivity but not gaming- unless it's for a dedicated racing rig

This is such a phenomenal productivity monitor for me personally. I have 7 different windows open side by side that makes multi tasking much easier. Only downside is that if you're running this monitor with a Mac, you can only have 1 external display (this one) unless you have a Max or ultra processor.

Any good window manager programs you guys would recommend for this thing? I don't think four windows is quite adequate. I'd love to be able to quickly have 8 "fullscreen zones" where I can quickly fullscreen an application into

I assume I couldn't (when console gaming) put my PS5 in the middle and to odd-shaped windows virtual monitors on the lelft and right? That's why I'm currently rocking a triple monitor setup.

IMO we'll never see this at $1k. Most likely Samsung would sell out/discontinue it at the lowest $1200 and introduce a new version of it at the $2k msrp.

You should be able to run it in PBP (picture by picture) mode. It splits the screen into two 32" monitors and you can use the other half of the monitor for a secondary input like a PC or laptop. Some people run it like that if they're working from home and they want to keep their personal PC and work laptop/desktop separate.

Are you on windows or mac? I have this monitor and use Magnet for my productivity work on a macbook with keyboard shortcuts to place windows in various layouts depending on the work (thirds, fourths, middle with narrow sides, etc.). For windows I just started using FancyZones but really only use my PC for full screen gaming.

Magnet is amazing. I think it used to be just a dollar or two years ago but it's 100% worth the $5.
