My two Samsung Tv's have issue with their screen, one went completely dark and the other one has bright spots all over. I will not risk it with another Samsung specially something that will cost over $1000.00

always buy the 5 year warranty when it comes to TV's!

My man this is slickdeals. The reason they offer a warranty is because on average they make money on it. You're welcome to buy a warranty if the peace of mind is worth whatever cost they give you for the warranty, but on average it's financially not in your favor to purchase a warranty. If you can afford to self insure (purchase a different one if/when it breaks) you will come out ahead. Insurance makes sense on huge purchases that you cannot afford to self insure, and for which you would not be financially ok if things went wrong. For some people, that's a $1000 monitor, but I would argue that if you can't afford to self insure a monitor you probably should pick a different monitor. It's your money though, spend away!
