Great monitor - worth it. However, it is INSANELY hot and it's parabolic shape radiates you with an uncomfortable level of heat. Turning the brightness down does help, but it does not solve the issue. I've tried a number of things to help, the best I've been able to come up with is a fan blowing across the front of the screen.
Would I buy again? Of course, the heat is super annoying though.

This is probably the greatest productivity monitor on the market at the moment simply due to the amount of real estate you get from a single screen.
If you've been eyeing this monitor, I think this is worth pulling the trigger on at this price point.

finally pulled the trigger. used 10% to get it to 1316.42 after tax. Savor (capital one card) gives 6% for samsung monitors right now so takes a chunk of the tax out just FYI if you have a capital one credit card.

I use it for work and its great! You can't go wrong with it. You can use PIP to make it two monitors as well.

It's amazing for daily office work. The thing to keep in mind is that not all of the screen is equally usable. Unless you want to constantly move your neck around, you'll need to keep your most-viewed windows closer to the center than the edges, but that's where I can put infrequently used xterms, MP3 players, IRC, etc. (and use the center for xterms I'm actually working in, Gmail, Slack, etc.). I love it.

you might be sitting too close to it. It should only be very slightly more inconvenient to view objects on the far edges by glancing and turning head the slightest amount

Have this and can't wait to get another one for my other office. The experience is much, much better than using two separate monitors. Particularly if you use Microsoft powertoys or something similar to carve up your screen however you like. I LOVE this thing. I had the 49" which is also great but imo the 57" is as others said the best productivity monitor on the market
