My understanding is that you lose some performance if you go for 4 sticks of memory rather than 2, so if you're planning on having 64GB of RAM, you'd probably be better off avoiding this deal (unless you've got another place to use 2x16GB sticks)

Been eyeing this exact build too but with the tomahawk x870e wondering what advantages this board offers. Tempted to wait for a 9950x3d combo but the mobo is really well rated

Did a deep dive into this vs the tomahawk board I was considering, although this has better VRMs and other nice features. It has a less ideal lane sharing setup in which the 2nd m.2 slot shares lanes with PCIE_1 and PCIE_2 effectively halving the x16 lanes to x8 for PCIE_1 (unless you avoid using the 2nd m.2 slot and x8 slot)

Better than the $700 MC bundle? I know people don't love the G.Skill memory they use but it's rated same speed.... I guess assumes one has a local MC which I do.

It's not so much a performance loss using all 4 slots. It's that XMP and trying run higher than what your ram XMP is rated at gets unstable and starts crashing you out while gaming. While using all 4 slots. Or if you really mess up the ram OC then you won't even post and will have to clear CMOS.

Was going to wait for zen 6 but now its looking like Q4 26. If this was like $100 less.

Word of warning: This motherboard, while expensive, has a disproportionate amount of one-star reviews on Amazon.

This or the MC build with X870e rog or even X670e mag tomahawk?

Would be awesome to get this x870e tomahawk. Might just get this as MOBO is still great.

If you filter by this exact MOBO it's like 10 reviews.
