This seems like a great deal but after getting burned by my shitty XPS, I'm done with Dell.

What happened? We've had an xps we bought refurbished over 7 years ago and still going strong. Only issue was wifi kept dropping so I just use a USB one

I just set up a Dell 14 Pro, not sure how similar it is... but what gets me vs. an M1 MacBook Pro I own is just how loud it is. My MBP is essentially silent all the time. I don't think I've ever heard the fan. The Dell 14 Pro fan is on essentially all the time, even if somewhat quiet... but loud during setup.
What CPU does your Dell Pro have?

anyone know how many free PCEi slots are free to add an addtional ssd?

Found a review that showed no extra m.2 slots. https://www.techradar.com/computi...ttery-life

Their 16 Plus model doesn't have one either. Sad really.

I'm trying to determine the suprior laptop for heavy Excel use (large spreadsheets with lots of VBA and RTD feeds). I'm comparing this against the Acer Swift 14" AI Copilot+ PC Touchscreen Laptop – AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 Processor – WUXGA (1920 x 1200) Touchscreen – 32GB RAM - 1TB SSD at Costco for $899.99.
Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks.

I'd go with the CostCo straight up....But with CostCo you have 3 months to return if you are not happy.

I'm considering the Ultra 9 288V, but the weight bothers me since I rarely use a laptop unless I'm on a trip. It's substantially heavier than my nearly 8 year old Asus Zen Book Pro.

This appears to have dropped to $850. I was able to use 10% cash back from another site plus $100 off $500 on my Amex plus 10% for new buyers email from Dell. My total paid cost is $765 + tax. But I should get cash back of about $83 and Amex reward of $100 making my net cost about $582 + tax.
