Thinking about jumping from AM4 to AM5. Would I notice much uplift in gaming from a 5700x to a 9600x?

depends on what game and what resolution you play at... it's not a definite

Not worth changing your entire platform for. You won't notice enough of a difference, if any, to make it worth the jump.

It would only be worth it if you plan on going to maybe a 3d chip down the road. It's not like the AM5 is a dead platform its supposedly got a couple more years left in it. The closer you wait to the EOL of AM5 the more you might as well just wait to what's offered afterward. But if you plan on staying on that 9600x I wouldn't bother.

You could always sell the AM4 combo to recoup a decent portion of the upgrade if thats what your into.

$170 for CPU alone at Micro Center, but you'd probably bundle if you are buying there.

I just bought this CPU from Best Buy last week for $230 do you think they'd price match the Micro Center price?
