Yeah, the irony :-) My 20-year-old harbor freight one is still working and that's what I've been using for the last 10 years.
Headache, indeed. I had a made in USA ratchet purchased from Sears. It stopped ratcheting after about 10 years, so I eventually took it to Lowe's. They looked at me like I had two heads until they found the one employee who knew how to handle it. The other downside (to some) is that the replacement was imported. It's held up reasonably well thus far, though.
