This looks like the torque wrench I bought 10 years ago that failed and I still haven't gone to get the warranty replacement. It just stopped clicking.

This is the reason I got the HarborFrieght one. It just less headache in doing warranty replacement.

Headache, indeed. I had a made in USA ratchet purchased from Sears. It stopped ratcheting after about 10 years, so I eventually took it to Lowe's. They looked at me like I had two heads until they found the one employee who knew how to handle it. The other downside (to some) is that the replacement was imported. It's held up reasonably well thus far, though.

Lowe's never has more than one person at the store that knows how to do stuff at any given time. Company policy.

FWIW, there's probably somebody out there who thinks that's a valuable collector's model, already has a rebuild kit for it, and would have paid you for shipping and a new Chinaman ratchet (not me though.)

The manual says that it might not make an audible click at low torque settings.
