Solid deal. Free Shipping. 30 day return policy. If you're into this body style. It's sorta Nuevo Retro. Giving me those 50's kitsch vibes and this green color is great. I dig it.

Can anyone speak to the build quality and tone of these Sterling guitars in general? The fit and finish seem nice from afar but I don't see a lot of these floating around out there on the used market.

FYI this is a tiny guitar that disappears on your lap.

I can't speak to how this actually plays or sounds. All I can truly say without ever having played or heard one is that Sterling makes quality value branded instruments. This is a niche body style so you're probably not going to see lots of people pick these up. Probably evident by the lack of guitars you're seeing on the used market. But if I were looking for another guitar, I certainly wouldn't mind adding this to the stable.

Build quality is excellent for the price. The neck joint is rounded in a very comfortable way. Neck feels like a much higher dollar Fender. I freaking love the selector switch. I want to see that style on more guitars. Locking tuners are very good quality.

The tone is bright and edgey in the bridge and very full in the neck. Output is on the high side and edge of breakup amps will sound even more distorted than usual.

Important note, there's no tone knob. There are two volume knobs. You can blend the volumes in middle position, but you're full tone all the time. Also the volume rolled all the way down is off, but just the tiniest bit of volume and you have a lot signal very quickly. I spend most my time playing at 7 or 8 volume to take some of the intensity off and switch to 10 for high gain playing.
