New models coming out soon with same/similar specs to the Duo 2 and 16mp Duo 3, but with supposedly more vertical field of view, and a lot better design than these giant, weird looking things.

New models going to be called Elite WiFi, Elite WiFi w/ Spotlight 120v wall-powered, and then some sort of 16mp PoE with ColorX/larger image sensors. The first two are already leaked/posted on their own websites if you google it.

Lots of refurbished of this model camera. Is that telling us that these are not reliable?

Comparison videos between the 2 and 3 show the 2 has a cleaner image quality.

I also have the Duo with spotlights. I like the camera, but it's worth the difference to get the spotlights.

I have lorex poe nvr. One of the camera went bad. Can I use it in place of it? Or does it work independently?

I have this exact model, I've been very very happy with it for about a year and a half. No issues whatsoever.

Been rocking 2 duo 2's for my front and backyard for a year and zero issues. Front one is too far from my wifi so I'm using one of those network over electric outlet device and its been very good.

Do you need the receiver to make this work or can I use my Synology server to record ? I already have POE switch.

The connector doesn't look like POE to me, you have to plug in both power and ethernet on camera side seperately?
