Beautiful, just keep in mind it's not a "traditional" Jazzmaster. Different controls.

Great deal. The color is amazing. It has a little metallic color added and it really looks nice up close. The photos don't do it justice. I also like that it has an actual Rosewood fingerboard and not Pau Ferro like some of the previous models.

Just FYI, the body on this guitar is not routed to allow a traditional jazzmaster switch to be added without routing out the body. It would be a big job to modify this model with a loaded pickguard with all the classic jazzmaster controls.

as someone who just got into JMs I was stunned to realize that the Players and Am Performers don't include a rhythm circuit. It's clear now why so many go for the CV/J Mascis squiers as they're a much better deal. The only MX option with a rhythm circuit is the Vintera 2 for $1300, crazy

How important is the rhythm circuit?

As previous comments state it's basically what makes a jazzmaster a jazzmaster, but of course it might not matter to some. It allows you to have two different preset tones at specific volumes at the flick of a switch, which is fun & convenient, and unlike other models. It's a feature that Fender gatekeeps behind the most expensive models of each tier (Asia/MX/US) so I think that says something. Go to a guitar shop and try it out, I was hooked instantly but you might not care

No, the Player series is from Mexico until further notice. The Standard series is the new one from Indonesia.
