Eventually, I was able to pair them with a compatible model of Sammy phone however, and it's really not that big of a deal. The headlines like the 24-bit codec and the dynamic ANC seem like big misses, but neither of them really amazed me when I finally got to demo them. The transcription feature didn't work very well either.
I am just one data point. Maybe my particular 24-bit flac files were a poor demo of the proprietary sammy codec and maybe things have been fixed in software since, but for under $100 I find these to be pretty hard to beat in the ANC Earbud market even with non-sammy devices.
Edit: A suggestion for people like me. These come with silicone eartips. I would replace immediately with memfoam, but that is subjective
However, my preference is the 2's. They're sleeker and I am able to maneuver better in them: activities, less noticeable at work, don't get snagged when taking off shirts/sweaters, and are easier to sleep in.
I haven't noticed any major difference in battery life.
One thing is that it is more of a nuisance with the 3's to properly align the buds when placing them into the charging case. The 2's will magnetically align so you can just drop them into the case, essentially.

Curious about this as well.
Same here. Airpod pro 2s have better noise cancelation and passthrough audio, the galaxy buds have better audio and mic quality. The only significant difference, and one that most people don't care about, is the mic quality. Airpods are like 2010s car Bluetooth quality, galaxy buds are indistinguishable from using the phones mic.
Otherwise, the differences are pretty minor though, they're both pretty great. I think I got my galaxy buds for around this price and they're well worth it.
decisions, decisions.....
It works in any country.

There are some features which sont work like sound 360. I am using it with Oneplus 12 and it works great.
Thought I'd be okay with the airpod style form factor, but that just wasnt the case. Old earbuds are just more inconspicuous for when you're out and about. The stems get caught if taking off clothing (shirt, hoodie, etc). Old style I'll sometimes leave one earbud in while I'm sleeping on my side, if I roll over it's not comfortable, but it's manageable. With these it's not too uncomfortable.
All that said, the sound quality really was good. If my current buds broke then I'd live with the tradeoffs, but until then I'll keep rocking my originals.
I'd say if you are looking for a good gym earbud, the 2's are great. If you're looking for a good everything else earbud, go with the 3's.

Voice Detect: This feature is supposed to automatically switch to transparency mode when you start talking. "I find it to work well but it made me aware I am a random mumbler!"
Intelligent Sound: This feature adjusts the audio based on your environment. "Adaptive eq is good if it works. But sometimes it derps out and makes the buds sound louder in one ear for me."
Live Translation: This is one of the main selling points, but many users find it unreliable. "The translation is super slow, incorrect and doesn't track the conversation well at all."
Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC): This feature adjusts the noise cancellation based on your surroundings. "Adaptive noise cancelling is actually pretty good though. But it is behind when dealing with crowd noise compared to full ANC mode."
Siren Detection: This alerts you when it detects a siren. "Siren detect is cool, but I haven't really noticed it doing much."
