No, apple removed this feature due to the patent infringement on part of the series 9 production and the ultra 2 watches. Quick and dirty way to see if the part number ends in /LLA or /LWA (in the US). /LLA on the series 9 has it enabled. /LWA has it turned off.

Was the silver color with the blue ocean band but looks like price went back up. Recommend setting a price alert because I'm sure it'll eventually drop again

Apple's refurb storefront just started selling the black Ultra 2 for $679: https://www.macrumors.com/2025/06...h-ultra-2/ (And refurbs from Apple itself are almost universally considered to be indistinguishable from new, unlike the more hit-or-miss conditions from Woot…)

They all have the sensor hardware, but new U.S.-bound production has it disabled in software. Technically—although certainly don't base your purchase on this assumption alone!—it could be re-enabled at any time should Apple and Masimo settle their patent dispute, or simply when the patents in question expire in 2028.

Unless you need it right now, I'd wait. I got one in excellent condition for $350 from Best Buy (open box). There will be deals that will be better than this woot one as it gets closer to the next release.

I've been wanting to upgrade to the Ultra for the battery life and durability over my AW 8 but losing the pulse ox feature seems like such a downgrade. I hope they figure that patent lawsuit out soon so they can add it back in the US.

Why? 90% of the day to day functionality is exactly the same, and even battery life I don't get rave reviews compared to regular AW.

They would have ready agreed if they did. Apple is waiting till the patent expires in August 2028
