This actually worked at my local Subway that normally doesn't accept coupons. Got a footlong pizza and footlong grilled chicken sub for $11.

Subway is still 22.98 for two foot long combos. Too much!
$11.50 for a 12-inch sub + chips + drink isn't that bad. They also do a $6.99 meal deal for a 6-inch.

I cannot believe someone hasn't sued Subway for false advertising. The subs they show on their commercials, billboards and signs, are not even close to what you get.

Last week I purchased 2 foot long for $12.99. In California, that's a BOGO coupon.
Probably the cheapest one would get it for in CA., $6.495 per footlong. I do not think one could ever get it at $5 again.

Ooh crazy good deal if true, time to reinstall the subway app and see what it says, since they were bought out, pretty sure all franchise and corporate locations now have to honor these promotions so no more not sure which store does what. If the order gets processed through the app it has to be honored at the store, simple as that.

I disagree.

If it is placed through the app, which is basically corporate's system and the franchise does not know about it and they clearly state somewhere in writing (on windows, etc.) that they do not accept promotions, then they should not have to honor it.

I feel the pain of these franchises. They should get some say (but they should have it in writing and the owner of that franchise should have called corporate and had some exception). To the customer, we just need to see it somewhere in writing, preferably signed by someone at corporate.
franchises do know about it, literally if you put the promo code and your location does not participate then the app throws an error saying this location does not participate in this promotion so please pick another location, and you can see all the participating locations in the map to choose from

If a payment is processed through the APP, than the franchise has to accept the order and cant deny it, if they didnt want to participate they can exclude themselves from the APP. Also any franchisee that does not, needs to be reported to corporate.

Is this for Subway's app, specifically?

No one should be paying more than $4.73 for a footlong.
Chips, the size that they give can be bought in one of those bundle packs at Costco for like $0.50 on the $ and the drink is around like $2 for a 20 oz. (that is even priced up).
I once had seen Starry at a Kroger near me and it was past its best before date and it was only like $0.99. It shows one how priced up it is.
I mean, I get it -- it's all overpriced compared to making it at home. But the "$5 footlong" from the 2000s would be $8.11 in today's dollars, then factor in the chips and drink and it's about right.

Fair.
"If a payment is processed through the app, then the franchise has to accept the order and can't deny it."

Well, if the payment is processed, then they just need to refund the money back to you.
After all was said and done, the code ended up being no better than the 2 for FTL1299 code so overall not a major savings and actually more expensive for the subs I usually get, lol. Have not tried it on the more expensive subs like the Beast but at this point nothing beats the 3 for FTL1799 code.
