If you're just using it at home, get the one-handed. I have 5 reciprocating saws, but now that I am semi retired, I reach for the one hand Milwakee M18 Fuel Hackzall first for around the house. I don't have the 1 handed Kobalt, but I do have the larger 2-handed one, and it impressed me. Based on the comment above, I am betting the one-handed Kobalt is good too.

You will reach for the 1 handed recip saw more than a full size, even on a job site the 1 handed gets reached for more often, full size for demolition.

He doesn't know but the price did drop back in January. I would wait until tomorrow for Father's day then decide.

I think you should use the right tool for the job.
If it's anything like the single handed Milwaukee one (mentioned above by the other guy), I've used that one and it does fine for 90% of what most people use sawzalls for. Now I have the mini makita one and that sucks. The following is directed towards anyone who's used these Kobalt power tools: Honestly, I've had bad luck with a lot of Makita stuff as of lately. It's a shame because the couple of 18v lithium tools I have from 2007 or 2008 are still going strong and they weren't even the high end ones. Yet some of the newer brushless crap I have has given me issues. I use Milwaukee stuff at work a lot and their stuff isn't any better either. Kobalt may not be any better, but at least their stuff is way way cheaper. I need a grinder (my Makita one burned up) and would also like a multi cutting tool. For those 2 things in the Makita eco system it's well over $300. I could get 3 of these deals for $300 and have 6 batteries and 3 power tools. Not a bad start. Anyone who's used Makita or Milwaukee products and these Kobalt ones have any input?

For the specs, 200+ish nut busting torque ft lbs throughout the years after battery degradation, hows the 1/2" impact torque wrench? I'm willing to wait to see if it goes cheaper. It's not for me, it's for my BIL, for lug nuts. Anything else ever go on sale for about that price with any better specs?

IME, those smaller impacts don't work that well for bigger stuff like lugs and suspension stuff. Even if things are torqued to specs (which seldomly are), it takes a lot to break stuff free. I have a Makita slightly larger than that (think it's around 250 ft lbs or something) and it struggles with a lot of things so I end up breaking out my larger one. Something around 300 ft lbs is way more respectable.

I bought the half inch impact last time this came around in January and it's totally fine for lug nuts. They come off as fast as they do with my larger size Ryobi.

I jumped on it today with the orbital polisher. The battery package is out of stock in my area (Dallas, TX). Online stocks that I saw were 500 something yesterday. Today it dropped to 200 something. Not sure if that is regional or national so I placed my order.

Is anyone else having issues getting the bundle to work with the single handed reciprocating saw? In says that there is an availability issue when it is in the cart. Going to the product page from the cart says that it is not sold online but if you search for it you will find the real listing which is available.

Try changing your store. Not getting the saw, but I had same issue with shop vac not adding (via phone app). I think it probably has to do with both items being "in stock" in same store. If not, then this comment is not helpful and sorry to have wasted your time.

The reviews on that one seemed pretty bad so I skipped it. Even some people were saying that they got several bad ones in a row. It's either cheaply made or they had a bad manufacturing batch (all the ones made in a certain time frame failed). I only got two of these deals - the multi cut tool and the job site fan. Haven't tested the cutting tool yet but have been testing the fan and it seems pretty decent. Jury is still out on the battery life. I have a 2ah battery in it now and want to see how long it goes on high.

I only got two of these deals (job site fan and oscillating cut tool). Yeah, their free tool offerings were way better back in the winter. Kicking myself in the ass for not getting some of their stuff back then. I saw the deals and slept on it since I'm mostly on a Makita eco system but thinking of selling off what I have because the batteries have some age on them (most are 10 years old, some a bit older than that and going bad). The prices of Makita batteries are a bit steep and some of the tools are expensive too - I was looking at fans and their oscillating cut tool and in this brand I can get those plus two batteries and a charger for less than the individual tool. I just don't see Makita deals like a used to. And the few tools I had which gave up the ghost way before their time left a bad taste in my mouth. Not worth it for the prices they command.
