I dropped my new pair in the creek.
If you have serious trimming to do, these are amazing. Remember, you don't just cut the branches off. You have to cut them in pieces to either mulch or fit in the garbage/green.
I have these and they're a great tool to have around
Fam always says they don't know what to get me, gift wise…this is perfect.

We have wisteria, hibiscus, honeysuckle and bougainvillea and I have pruned them for two decades with conventional shears and loppers. Never again. The power and cutting ability the DeWalt has honestly has to be seen to be believed.
Something I thought was rather funny that came up in the thread when I bought mine was people saying over and over to watch your fingers. They're not kidding. This will absolutely take a digit off before you can release the trigger if you're not careful. If you like to have a couple beers while doing yard work, keep this locked up or don't buy it. The mechanism is extremely powerful and unforgiving. While I haven't had any close calls myself, I do sometimes shudder when I realize how cavalier I get after using it for a half hour or so. If you're an intelligent, reasonably cautious person, you'll love these. If you're clumsy or absent-minded, stick to manual shears.
As for the more technical side of things, I've had these about six or seven months now and they see use every week to two weeks. The blades are just as sharp as when new (or at least, I haven't noticed any dulling, given the power), and a 4ah battery lasts easily three or four sessions lasting 30 minutes before it needs recharging.
Anyway, if you're on the fence, buy it and enjoy the sense of smug satisfaction when you realize just how much time and effort it saves you the first time you use it.
Oh, and your neighbors will wonder what that weird "walking robot" sound is!
