I tried out the 5" rainbow trout when it was on sale last week. It's now my number 2 senko color. Bass were all over it. Not on sale this time, but still plenty of solid choices for $2.50-3.50.

Glad you were able to get your color at this price! Junebug is my favorite and I was thrilled to get several bags at $3.49 a couple weeks ago! Lot of very good choices at this price too. $2.49 cent 10 packs of senkos I'll buy any color though!

Some of mine show arriving this week, others much later. All depends on the color. Just buy them all and get some now the rest later! Maybe much later…😅

Within the last 3 weeks I've ordered so many I currently have a large reusable grocery bag full of them that's too heavy for either of my kids to carry with many more on the way! I put this in the other deal when they were $3.49 - but just to put a little perspective on how good a deal this is: Last time I got Senkos this cheap was when Gander Outdoors was clearancing out their fishing gear at 50% off, and they were all lousy colors. I think I paid about $3.50 for those, and I still bought every one they had at that price! At $2.49, it's a no brainer.

Not only is the price great, but these are also arguably one of the most effective baits there are for bass fishing. There's no such thing as having too many of these!

There is if you do not use them. Some palisics will last mostly forever but these will break down in storage and become unusable after some years.

I can confirm this is true. They sometimes "melt" into each other and become one big messy glob, other times they turn to a gooey substance that you can't put on a hook.

MIne kind of crumbled is how I would describe it. At first glance they were still in shape and looked alright and subtle but the slightest pull would have the crack, rip right apart and stay stretched out and weird looking. It was heartbreaking throwing many packs away. I guess whatever process and ingredients that at makes them so work so well and subtle limits the lifespan. I have other plastics older that did not fail. Mine were quite old.

Just in case, did you keep yours in the bags they came in? Mine were and failed but I know with some baits the bag makeup is special to not react with the baits. I have melted and ruined other soft plastics and plastic tackle trays by taking baits out of bags and putting them in the trays. That is critical with Zman Elaztech baits they will eat stuff up and must absolutely be kept in theri bags they come in but I did have just have more generic plastics react when in contact with tackle trays or other plastic.

I'm not doubting what you say is true, but I've never experienced it with a Yamamoto Senko. I use the hell out of them but have had some bags that have sat around several years but never experienced any problems with age. Fwiw, I keep mine in the bags they come in and store them in waterproof tackle bags and boxes. I think taking them out of the bag and putting them into trays and tackle boxes with other plastics is where most people tend to have issues.

Definitely a valid concern for some but what I've bought for personal use I will go through long before they expire and the rest will be gifted and sold.
