For those it didn't work for, I wonder what makes those accounts different?

I'm unfortunately having difficulty explaining this to you. Maybe ask ChatGPT plus for an explanation. This thread has a convenient discount code where you save $30.
Heres a ChatGPT explanation for anyone still confused, including fun emojis:
šŸ‘‰ The person was paying $60 for 3 months of ChatGPT Plus.
šŸ‘‰ When they clicked "cancel", ChatGPT said: "Wait! Stay! We'll give you 50% off!"
šŸ‘‰ So now they only pay $30 for 3 months instead of $60.
āœ… They didn't get $30 in cash.
āœ… They didn't get it for free.
āœ… They just saved $30 — so they feel like they "got $30 for free."
Bottom line:
If you have ChatGPT Plus and you want to save money, try to cancel it. You might get the same deal.

Didn't work for me. Just cancelled. For those who had it work for them - how *exactly* did you cancel? I went through web site, settings, manage, cancel. It just cancelled. None of the "are you sure?"
For me, website. I happen to be on my phone, but it seems like that shouldn't matter.
Profile > Settings > Account > Manage > Cancel.
It showed a link on that page to save 50% before hitting the final cancel button.

Analyzing spreadsheets for errors and improvements. Summarizing and pointing out any out of the ordinary language in terms & conditions. Sometimes I just talk to it while driving. **Comparing products** - underrated use with logic to narrow down searches -- example was looking for yard tool eco system, comparing different brands, overall pricing for everything I need, and factoring in the few tools I own. Cooking without just getting links to ad riddled recipes or articles --- How do I cook these oval hash browns in an air fryer? Researching items of interest on FB marketplace. Running Monte Carlo simulations of portfolio performance. If you never have, download one -- like Grok on your phone and ask it the same question.
How does it have access to your portfolio?

PSA: ChatGPT is holding and storing away every single conversation you have, with your data attached to it. Yes, even if you're on a paid plan. Yes, even if you delete the chat. Yes, even "temporary chats."Source: https://arstechnica.com/tech-poli...nightmare/
I like to put the artwork of rival artists into the AI so it can train on it whether they like it or not

I guess it knows me too well now because I tried this last month and it was just like "k, bye" without warning. I resubbed at the end of the month when it expired.

I give it a .csv exported from my broker, but you could also take a screen shot, or even give it a .pdf of a statement.

Help out a Luddite. For what purposes exactly, do you use AI software?
AI is actually really good at coming up with solutions to problems that have strict rules but complicated implementations that can be achieved many different ways. It can definitely help solve programming and scripting issues assuming you know enough about the language to catch when ChatGPT hallucinates things that don't exist, but it's also great for things like Regular Expressions that you can't be just "kind of OK at" in many situations, and need something exactly as described.

Also I've been finding that it's pretty good at at least giving you a baseline for where to start on travel plans. I'm heading overseas in a few months and it's been very helpful to ask a question in a simple way and get a list of topics back for further research.
