š The person was paying $60 for 3 months of ChatGPT Plus.
š When they clicked "cancel", ChatGPT said: "Wait! Stay! We'll give you 50% off!"
š So now they only pay $30 for 3 months instead of $60.
ā They didn't get $30 in cash.
ā They didn't get it for free.
ā They just saved $30 ā so they feel like they "got $30 for free."
Bottom line:
If you have ChatGPT Plus and you want to save money, try to cancel it. You might get the same deal.
Profile > Settings > Account > Manage > Cancel.
It showed a link on that page to save 50% before hitting the final cancel button.

I give it a .csv exported from my broker, but you could also take a screen shot, or even give it a .pdf of a statement.

Also I've been finding that it's pretty good at at least giving you a baseline for where to start on travel plans. I'm heading overseas in a few months and it's been very helpful to ask a question in a simple way and get a list of topics back for further research.
