Really want one of these for my wife's workspace, but our Lenovo Legion Pros require 100W minimum or they won't even bother to use the PD over C. Pretty sure I have looked at a dozen or more docks in the sub 100 price range and bricked with all of them doing 85 watts to the PC
This says windows system only. Won't work for MacBook pro?
The title says windows only but the images show mac support. Then the product description says not Mac compatible so the listing can't make up it's mind. The Supported Type C ports image shows that this is using display port alt mode which should work fine on a Mac. The only limitation is what the images show. It will only display the same thing on both HDMI ports. You can't use it to drive two monitors with different images on them. This is because Mac OS doesn't support DisplayPort MST (multi-stream transport) so this will be true of any DisplayPort Alt mode dock, which is most cheap ones. You need a true Thunderbolt dock for a Mac to support multiple external displays over a single cable.

Yeah. That's going to be the case for pretty much any USB-PD pass through dock like this. It uses some power on it's own so a 100W USB-PD from the adapter ends up being 80-90W left over for the PC. To do 100W PD to the laptop you'd need higher power coming into the dock. 120W USB-PD could theoretically work but that functions by bumping up the voltage past 20V so it's not exactly simple as you'd need to step the 24V down to 20V before sending it to the laptop. Alternatively, you do use a barrel connector to do 20V @ 6A to get 20W for the dock and 100W to pass through to the laptop but you'd still need some PD negotiation circuitry. You could get the same thing with a built in power supply too. I don't think you'll ever see a dock like this that can provide 100W to the laptop that uses USB-C for power.
