No. Its has a ADS-pro panel (IPS). It has much better viewing angles but not as good black/contrast levels. Though many people have commented it has much better black levels than most IPS panels.

If you order another Costco Direct product, you will receive an additional $150 discount, bringing the effective TV cost to ~$650 with 2 years of Hisense warranty + 3 years of Allstate warranty + $100 Google gift card.

I bought this TV last week from Costco for $750 and got it price matched today for a $100 refund in a minute. I am pleased with the TV and its brightness and color pop. It's a no-brainer if you are in the market for a 75" TV.

Cost warranty sucks. Bought a Lenovo notebook, completely unhelpful hotline. Costco's own service is a disgrace.

Oh great, a worthless Google Play card. I'd rather pay $100 more so Costco can keep that trash.

So the U8N is $1099 at Best Buy without the added warranty. Is it worth it to go with the 8? And I subscribe to YouTube premium so the GC is as good as cash to me.

same here with TCL, never again. maybe its just a dice roll for any of these brands. my current Hisense is great...except it constantly reverts to "Low Power" picture settings --> picture mode. this is annoying!

U75N same as U7N? I almost bought one of these yesterday but the 75" uses a different panel apparently than the 55, 65 and 85 inch variations. It didn't test quite as good, which I found annoying enough to pass for the time being
I have both the 55 and the 75 and think the 75 looks much better. The viewing angle is miles better compared to the 55.

What are these google play GCs good for excep play store? I cannot quite figure why they are popular given how limited their usage is

I've never seen the u7 in person, but the u8 was ridiculous for that price. I'm holding out for the u8 to get a little cheaper

Yes same TV. 75 inch does use a different panel than the other sizes though like you mentioned.

Not according to rtings 🤷 ♂️

The other poster was referring to the QM7, which is better, especially compared to the 75" version of the Hisense which has an ADS panel instead of VA, which likely means its score would drop by another .3-.5 points.

The QM7 is a fantastic TV. It's the better TV overall, with the only area the Hisense beating it being factory color calibration. That and the few other areas it got dinged for on Rtings are fixed by updating the firmware (v201 is the latest stable update via USB). Updating the firmware turns the TV into the new model (QM7K), so TCL isn't going to release it over-the-air, so you have to install it manually with a USB drive. It also doesn't void the warranty, since both models share the same hardware. Your TCL will also almost certainly last longer than this Hisense, as well, as TCL uses better quality components (capacitors, power supplies, etc) than Hisense in their TV's. Hisense makes great looking TV's, but they're infamous for failing prematurely. TCL's cheap edge-lit TV's are their only TV's that regularly fail prematurely from poor components.

Did you just make that last part up? lol. Hisense and TCL components used are pretty much in line with each other based on the MSRP of the TVs being compared.

Show me one established professional reviewer that says that.

Stop the fomo doesn't say that...
Rtings doesn't say that...

I tried to make this tv work earlier this year when slickdeals informed me Costco was selling it for only 900. With some tweaking, I got the image to look fantastic but ultimately had to return it due to bad motion handling. I tried several different rokus, apple tv, and the TVs own app and with the latest updates, it just has really bad moments of judder, especially in dark scenes. I ended up getting an 77" C4 instead for twice the price. Sucks. I really wanted this TV to work as I loved the picture.
