I have $100 off $500 on my Amex Every Day card. I also had a 10% off coupon that brought the laptop down to $488 w/tax. To get to $500, I added a $14 mouse bringing my total price to $505. After the $100 off, my final price will be $405 for the laptop and mouse. Aside from the 250 nit screen, I think this is a solid laptop for the price. I saw a similarly spec'd Dell at Best Buy and the screen seems good enough for what I intend on using it for.

Anyone able to do a price match? I tried at Amazon and Best Buy. They didn't match. I wanted it delivered in 2 days but Dell can't deliver it that soon.
You can't price match to Dell. because the laptops in store have different model numbers than the ones sold directly by Dell.

Best Buy has the same model 7440 and same specs but they do not match against manufacturers price.
if these was ultra 5 or even core i3 / i5, it would be worth jumping on it. Core 7 is a no go

I'm not an expert but as per Google, core 7 150u is better than i7 1355u

It is not the same model, 7440 is not the model, that is the name of the family. Notice Best Buy has more than one 7440 2-in-1, they have the i7440-7304BLU-PUS, they have the i7440-5311BLU-PUS, they have the i7440-5647BLU-PUS - all of these are part of the 7440 family but are 3 different model numbers. If you buy the laptop directly from Dell, since it is considered a customized laptop, the model number will be different than any of the ones from Best Buy.

Dell refurbished 5320 is available at 340$ and it has with specs 11th gen i7 , 32 gb ram and 512 ssd.
This deal I can get it for 410$ with Amex offer. Which should be the great choice for me? Either refurbished or this new one? Confused.

Latitude is pro/business line while Inspiron is consumer line. So Latitude has better build quality. But with that specs, it's 2-3 years older technology than the Inspiron in this thread, and probably DDR4.

I would go for the newer technology and better performance. But some may prefer stability and durability.

i bought this for $375 open box at best buy and planning to return it this week.

5) NO Facial Recognition, this feature requires an infrared camera which this laptop doesn't have.
Did the description you read before your purchased claim that it supported that feature? Few (if any) laptops in this price range support Windows Hello facial.

This seems like a good deal, but it's downvoted. Can someone explain why? There's also a Ryzen version at the same price with a better cpubench, but its original price is much lower, so not sure which is better.
Ryzen looks like 8GB RAM vs 16GB with the Intel so I went with the Intel.

Open-box deals can be unpredictable. I once bought an open-box laptop that was listed as having a touchscreen, but after spending a whole day setting it up, I realized it didn't. It turned out the model was assembled incorrectly. To avoid wasting your time and extra trips cost, it's best to test all the main features in-store before taking an open box item home.

If Dell wants me to buy it, they need to change a few things:
- 16"
- 350 or 400 nits
- 16GB: 1 x 16GB
- HDMI 2.0
:-)

I just ordered this last night but reading reviews that this processor is not up to par, I decided to cancel. You cannot reach a human at dell. I am even trying to create an account but it's not creating an account for me so decided to reach out to customer service. Non existent that is. They sent a text with a link that doesn't work. Based on this, I don't think I'll ever buy a dell again.

You don't think you will ever buy Adelle again? I didn't know she was for sale.

i have one, got it for about 450 bucks. its a good laptop however fans are loud as hell! I can't take it into the office because it sounds like it's going to take off. I tried searching online for so many ways of fixing it but nothing seems to work. So that's the only con I have for this computer. I only use it for work.
