Are you saying that 1,000mg of Vitamin C will not boost the immune system? Because that's what the ingredient says. 1 orange contains roughly 70mg of Vitamin C. Almost like eating 14 oranges. Having that said, it is better to eat real oranges than these but to claim that they don't really do anything to improve the immune system at 1,000mg, the argument would have to be clarified.

Colds are caused by virus. Nothing can really prevent it except sanitation from the conditions for its existence. It can only be neutralized by a healthy body but not avoided. Always go for the real fruits but if not, these come second. Added sugar is a legitimate bad reason for why you wouldn't want these but that also depends if you utilize sugar by hitting the gym. Or drink moderately. I wouldn't drink these every day but something good to keep around for that once in a while moment or when the cold comes around. It's better than nothing.

FYI the Raspberry flavor on the same page is only a 30 pack, not 50.

I was about to order them thinking it was only a few cents more, but right before I clicked confirm I noticed the quantity.

Not sure why anyone buys these. They don't really do anything to improve your immune system and they don't prevent or get rid of colds.

You do realize that there is nothing obligating these companies that make supplements to prove their efficacy, right? Adding additional amounts of certain vitamins and minerals does very little because most of them are water soluble and anything over the amount your body actually needs is usually excreted out. So most of that 1,000mg of Vitamin C is literally being pissed down the drain.

Completely anecdotal. Also, the flu is a completely different virus, and medical studies have shown that vitamin C has little to no impact on the prevention or treatment of it.

This is a deals site. I wish people would take their health comments elsewhere.

How is buying something you don't need considered a deal? You'd save more money not buying this.

I buy them actually because of the B-vitamins/electrolytes, not the vitamin C. I actually wish they made a version with no Vitamin C at all. At this price it's a very economical liquid B/electrolyte drink. I agree the Vitamin C megadosing is questionable on efficacy for prevention or improvement of colds but the reason you feel "Good" after drinking this is really the B vitamins.
