It doesn't look bad, but 40mm for a dress watch is a little big.

I'm with you. 40mm is max I can go for a dress watch. I do have a small wrist though. Too many 42-46mm watches posted for my liking.

40mm is workable but I'm with everyone else here: please more watches in the 36-38mm range!

be warned, lack of bezel will make this 40mm feel even larger on wrist

i do really like this movement however, due to that long power reserve (despite the use of some plastic)

Thumbed and repped. Great price for an entry Tissot with a good movement. Not my taste but nonetheless a fine watch for the money.

Damn cheap, but watch the category is dying, losing to smart phones and marginally to smart watches

Idk man, nobody wears watches only to check time, it's more of an accessory. Just like nobody uses phones to make calls anymore and even smart watches to tell time for that matter lol

Any significant differences between the Carson and the Chemin Des Tourelles?

Depends on your wrist size. Anything less than 40mm on my wrist looks very small.

That's actually not true. Watches were dying before the smartwatch. Smartwatches came out, which made everyone consider watches again. When the novelty of having one more device beeping wore off, a lot of people started buying actual traditional watches. The smartwatch has boosted the entire watch industry.
My Apple watch basically sits on my dresser. I should sell the thing.
