This is definitely a quantity of quality situation. If you just want a bunch of junk to throw into a tackle box for the sake of having a lot of junk in your tackle box, this is for you. Love to see angler related deals, but this isn't it.

Most of it is fluff. The weights/swivels/snaps are the majority of the pieces, and you don't need that many types of swivels. They're cheap to buy, anyway. The box is very specialized, made if you want to carry all of this stuff all the time. After about a 5/10 level of interest in fishing, it falls out of the usable tackle kit and becomes an item that just stays on the shelf.

For $25, one could go to walmart and pick up a more versatile storage box and set of hooks/weights, with cash left over for some actual lures. Much better way to go, honestly.

For most freshwater and lighter fishing, it's fine but probably still not ideal since the hooks may be thicker (thus easier to see). I just got home from a visit to Florida where we spent 3 days offshore (not overnight but still consecutive). The furthest trip was 55 miles, and I caught the biggest gag grouper of my life yesterday. Any Chinese hook I've ever laid hands on wouldn't have landed the fish. It would have broken or straightened out even more than the French made VMC hook I was using at the time opened up. Those are as cheap as I go for any hooks, swivels, etc. that are being used for anything more than catching bait. Sharpness is only part of the equation. The steel or other metals in cheaper terminal tackle simply aren't as strong or don't have similar corrosion resistance.
In some situations or locations, you just don't know what you might hook into. I was fishing for Vermillion Snapper at the time, expecting nothing more than an 18-24" moderate fighting fish tops. Instead, I hooked a fat ~45" dead weight monster on a "tiny" 4/0 circle hook. I didn't get an exact measurement or weight, because it needed to be thrown back ASAP to survive. Sadly, it was out of season.

Lots of hate on here, but if you do freshwater fishing for catfish or pan fish, or use plastics for bass fishing, you have a lot of potential here.
I would much rather practice with a setup I don't care about losing….. because if you buy good hooks and swivels, 25$ is not getting you very far…… I would buy this to try a bunch of rigs I've never done and see what I like. Then if I have an issue with the quality I'll upgrade the particular rigs that I like best.

I purchased this exact kit during prime days. The case is pretty solid for what you pay for. The sinkers, hooks, weights, bobber stoppers, beads.. all seem decent. Would buy again for this price for sure. Used it on several occasions, and hooks, sinkers seem solid enough to hook up 6lb bass. Not too shabby for the price.
