This does not come with a metric 18mm, which is needed. Why? Another set I have doesn't either.

11/16 is the SAE equivalent.

Yes. Wierd they don't include it. Not everyone has a set of SAE.

11/16" = 17.46mm. It means that 11/16 socket will not fit on a 18mm bolt, which is 0.54mm size. You could use 11/16 6 point socket on a 17mm bolt when you are in a desperate situation, but not recommended.

I highly recommend the made in Taiwan 1/2" HF impact socket set (98% recommendation). Avoid made in China set.

Price went up a lot this year, but I'm confident that price will break below $20 this year. 10, 13, and 14 are junk fillers . But set also includes important 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30, and 32 for car enthusiasts. These heavy sockets are ideal for +600 ft-lbs impact driver (momentum = mass x velocity).

Swap out the set if you break a socket. Easy replacement without receipt as long as you have the original plastic socket holder. Ease of replacement alone is worth a $5 premium!

Do NOT BUY THAT TRASH. I purchased a metric and SAE set to keep in the car and keep my Milwaukee sets in the garage. The metal on those sockets is super soft. I ended up having to use these on one instance and the front of the socket(s) looked like someone took a grinder to them. I returned them right back to HD. Not even good for beater sockets. I have an old set of HF Pittsburgh sockets (10ys old) which have been superb and I'd buy those as beater sockets instead. I do like the high vis on the Milwaukee.

I bought a socket set from Harbor Freight back in 2011. The 1/2" ratchet finally broke in 2024 after numerous brake jobs, oil changes and other auto maintenance. on 3 cars. I was able to get a better ratchet for free w/o any issue, no receipt. The lifetime warranty is great at HF on tools.

I bought a Northern Tool-branded variant of this set 2010ish. It was painted instead of oxided, and for most of that time, it was my 1/2" deep socket set. I eventually upgraded to a full made-in-Taiwan set with shorts and no skips: https://www.amazon.com/Neiko-0233...B08B3FD5PB . The sockets are still in fine shape except for scratched paint; my impact wrench tops out at 300 ft-lb and I prefer hand tools.

It wouldn't surprise me at all that the quality is inconsistent or worse. Especially with no QA by the rebrander. I'm merely noting the economics of buying a set with lifetime warranty, never using that warranty, and then eventually replacing it anyhow (thousands of dollars of repairs later.)
