I have this one. I haven't tried using it with a u ii card yet, so I feel like I've been hitting 90mbps write limits. I have a faster card, I'm just not sure whether I have a USB 3 port or whether I need one to hit u ii limits

These gizmos are nice, I've been using them for several years, but not with Acer brand on them. If you look around on The Bay you can still find them in groups of 3 & 5 for around $5 for the entire lot, arriving from China in 2-3 weeks.
Beats $8.50 for one.
