Plumbers use Mapp gas. Burns hotter.

The factory closed around 2008 for the original MAPP gas that was substantially hotter than propane.

I don't think the current MAP Pro is much hotter than regular propane unless you use oxygen with it. At that point you could just go to acetylene instead.

There's no mapp gas anymore. The fake yellow "mapp" burns just a few degrees hotter.
