Like I mentioned, tons of you are bots and/or paid shills for the Chinese company. SD needs to reign this in (and stop accepting bribes).

They do make good flashlights, especially for price. I have a couple different ones from them and have been pleasantly impressed.

Hello fellow human. Have you heard of the best flashlights on the planet? Sofirn. Buy it now. Sofirn! Ok, but really. They make high quality, inexpensive flashlights that have extremely useful features like usb charging. I get being upset about shill products/posts, but that is not this. These are genuinely useful tools at a great value and much higher quality than nearly anything you can buy at a hardware store.

Myself, I love their lights. Other than my all-arounder light I grab most often which is from Wurkkos due to them offering a high-CRI emitter in the form factor, I've purchased around 20 Sofirn lights over the last few months to replace all of my older lights from the last 15 years. The safe-cutoff USB-C charging, value, and performance of these Sofirn lights made me make the switch, and of course I eventually spent more than I initially planned. I even replaced my BLF LT1 gen1 lantern lights with their newer (gen2?) ones for some better usb-c behavior.

I do understand that their drivers dim as the battery SoC drops, but I don't see that as a necessarily bad thing either. Shilled or not, I was happy with first finding their lights on here months ago.

Even the included batteries are good - they all meet capacity figures. Only annoyance was that some cheap headlamp I received only had a 2200mAh cell, not 3000mah like all of their other 18650 lights. It wasn't advertised as coming with a 3000.

Is there such a think as LiFePO4 18650 battery? I would like to use this as a back up in my car and just keep it there long term but worried about thermal runaway....

I own many sofirn flashlights and use them daily. They are a good company and I've had nothing but good experiences with their products and their customer support. And the SR12 here is a really good EDC with a buck driver and a sft-25r LED, I would recommend this flashlight

Actually, you seem rather obsessed with attacking Sofirn deals and I question the actual motives.

Do you work for a competitor? Did your girlfriend leave you for someone that works at Sofirn?

Dunno. Seems rather odd that you need to make the same comments on EVERY SINGLE Sofirn deal post.

Hrmmm.

I'm neither a bot, nor a shill. I'm actually a human from Texas. If I were to find a Sofirn deal I'd certainly post it here. Not just to troll you, but because they are excellent flashlights (I have about 10 of them) and SD is usually were I find the deals on them.

FYI, the same thing (shrill/bot bs) could be argued about MOST of the deals posted on SD.

Have a great day!

I don't think you should worry about one cell's thermal runaway. Usually the fires & smoke videos you see of batteries are from much larger packs, many multiple cells together are more of a problem.

Definitely not rooting for any competitor; just amazed at the combination of blatant shilling by Sofirn here in dozens of paid threads, combined with creepy cultists who fetishize flashlight collecting.

Yeah, some people are seemingly WAY too into the whole flashlight thing.

But, when you consider all the other sick/twisted/perverted/demonic things people could fetish over, the world would be a much better place if everyone was only super-into flashlights.

Flashlights, USB batteries, stamps, baseball cards, etc? I say "Get on with your bad self!"

And as for shilling, again, so what if someone is getting a perk/kickback on telling you about a fantastic deal (like SD does with most of them) or they are marketing or creating awareness for a company/brand by posting a fantastic deal? You're getting a fantastic deal - which is the ENTIRE PURPOSE of this forum.

Exhibit 2: This Q8+ flashlight is an amazing deal at $37. Period.

However. posting a 5% discount on a product from an unknown company purely to create awareness could certainly be considered a shill. This aint that.

Like a gnat begging for attention you and your comment have been slapped down and swatted 24 times as of now and no one can see it or recognize what it was.

Why would anyone stay away from great flashlights at ridiculously low prices just because they decide to promote them and hand SD a couple bucks to do so.

Is your theory and argument that if any company runs ad or promotion of any kind for a product by default it makes the product bad. Apple Lexus, Tesla, GM, Ford and Dewalt all pay money to promote their products. Does it equate that we must stay away from their products? If we follow your logic all products are things we must stay away from.

Is you argument that if we catch anything on sale or promoted that we should decline them as they were promoted ? Don't you see how silly and tinfoil hat that is? Any product that comes to market must be promoted or we would never know about them. Any promotions or ad has no bearing on the quality of the product that must stand on it own.

Sofirn lights have been around for many years and have been went over, tested and reviewed thoroughly and in depth by people that are into flashlight and other gear. They are known to be quality products and recent promotions exclusive to SD have them at never seen before low prices. Why would anyone take you advise in stay away. I'd have to have n gnat sized brain to think it was better to pay $80 on Amazon when i can get it through SD for $20

Do you really advise SD members to wait to the promotion is gone and pay twice as much or more? If that is some new philosophy and considered helpful advice on SD I hope it is quickly crushed like a gnat

I think your ideas about how you would run a deal site if you could or would have you just throwing BS out to dissuade purchasing in a misguided attempt to punish SD.

If by chance some member not aware of how some play games and politics here loses out on a good deal at never seen before low prices do you consider that win for you?. How anyone can imagine that a bad thing is beyond me. Maybe take the lesson of the old parable about the goose and the golden egg before you comment anymore or fly away and buzz somewhere else where someone may listen to you..
