Afaik its the shape of the straps are different to accommodate a different torso shape and length. Rest should be pretty much the same as the regular one.

The North Face makes a slightly smaller version with a wider spreading shoulder straps to better fit a female body and call it the Women version. There have been comments/reviews that males have used the smaller one when they wanted the slightly smaller with no issues.
