Horrible deal. Ultra 7 with a 5070 Ti is much better than an Ultra 9 with a 5070. Also specs are wrong in the post - it's a 5070 as stated in the title, not a 5070 Ti.

I'm more bothered by 8GB vram in 70 tier still, especially with AI/ML applications. Should be 12gb.

I bought a refurb Omen five years ago and now runs Windows 11. On 24/7 all year - i7-9750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 15-dc1058wm $644 - Good investment for multimedia. https://slickdeals.net/f/14218409-refurbished-omen-by-hp-15-6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-9750h-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1660-ti-6gb-16gb-ram-256gb-ssd-15-dc1058wm-644-00-walmart?v=1

5070 Ti has 12GB. That was my main point.

You are overdramatic. It's like a 5-10% difference in real world performance that 90% of people would never notice.

Wrong - much bigger difference than 5-10% in an 8GB 5070 vs a 12GB 5070 Ti. Heck it has 50% more VRAM, that alone should tell you it's gonna do better than 5%. It's about a 23% difference in most real world testing - 25% higher FPS in higher resolutions/refresh speeds. Some benchmarks put the 5070 Ti at over a 50% difference. That's huge. It this was just a Full HD laptop, then the performance gains would be a bit less noticeable. But it's going to be very noticeable at WQXGA 240Hz.

Even if you are right (which i believe you are wrong) you are talking about the difference being between 110 fps and 137 fps. That alone is a 25% difference that MOST PEOPLE would still NOT NOTICE. Let me be clear, the 5070 Ti is BETTER but the 5070 IS NOT BAD. Get your head out of your ass and let people enjoy the 5070 too.

No need for third grade insults - stating that a 5070 Ti deal is better *at the same price* is not keeping people from enjoying a 5070. Really weird reaction from you - my guess is you bought a 5070. If you paid any attention to tech forums or tech subreddits, you'd find plenty of information on how much better the 5070 Ti with 12GB VRAM is and much higher recommended than a 5070 with 8. And I'd fully disagree "most people" don't notice a 25% performance increase. You don't even see that much of a difference between generations and yet people upgrade all the time.

Pointing out you seem full of yourself is hardly a third grade insult. I did buy a 5070 and im extremely happy with it. My processor is also better than what's listed here. Im not being defensive, I'm trying to get you to understand there's not one right way of doing things. You seem extremely arrogant when you talk about these things. It's slickdeals. There can be multiple good deals my boy.

How exactly is pointing out that a 5070 Ti deal at the same price is better is being "full of yourself"? You're being very defensive, so defensive that it was pretty easy to guess you were running a 5070 because otherwise there'd be no need to resort to insults to get a point across. Feel free to point that where I said a 5070 is "BAD". If I say a Ferrari deal at the same price as a Civic is better, that doesn't automatically mean I think Civics are "BAD". This is a forum - comments about deals both good and bad are perfectly fine.

You are extremely matter of fact. Anyone that can read sees that in your words. Again, I'm happy with my 5070. I think people would be happy with either, I do think you aren't giving enough credit to higher end processors. But honestly we are beating a dead horse here.

The performance difference in processors is ~ 5%, the performance difference in the graphics card is ~ 25%.

Is that single core? Multi core? How about NPU performance? Since you are an expert?

Overall approximate performance from aggregate performance comparison sites. Are people just not allowed to state any opinions at all, or point out any information? You seem really insecure. Just because people point out information is not a reason to get that sensitive about it.

I don't think you spend enough time on slickdeals. Do better.
