Yeah people just don't read anymore.
I think the best deal is P1S combo at $699 and A1C at $479.
From my experience with many printers, Bedslingers are proven to be reliable...but enclosed printers are so nice with it being able to stack the ams on top.

I didn't see that as a flex. They were specifically asked about their tech comfort level and budget. Saying their job is a developer tells us they are comfortable with tech, and saying pricing is not at issue on this list tells us budget is flexible enough for these specific set of printers. Yeah, it could have been worded differently but the implication is clear.

The person is asking for advice in this forum. Why bog them down by getting hung up on the exact wording?

I just got my Centauri Carbon and it is amazing, don't fall for the hype that bambu labs makes the easiest to use intro 3d printer. The Centauri Carbon is $300 and super easy to use and the prints are excellent.

Is this product on MicroCenter equivalent to the P1S combo for $799?

Is there a reason to buy the P1S from Bambu directly when BestBuy/Microcenter are selling for the same price and also offer free shipping (as opposed to $35 on Bambu)?

Plus the Bambu Anniversary gift is sold out as well.

Complete noob here. I've been looking to get into 3D printing for a while now. Was looking at the Centauri carbon. Are any of these a better option or deal than that? I'm down to spend a bit more money if it gets me a good deal.

I have converted 3D printers and built one with modifications. I don't have a bambu but I know some people that do. Bambs Lab just works, no need to mess with things so it's nice for a beginner. I had the centauri carbon pre ordered from earlier this year but decided to change the shipping to my brother because I wanted him to have a printer. He's a complete noob and he just prints as well. So I re-ordered the Centauri carbon for myself again. A1 is a bed slinger, Centauri carbon you can print way more filament options in the future and the hotend gets up to 320c. It's a toss up, Centauri carbon is newer so reliability is unproven unlike bambu who has proven to have great quality. And if you stick with their eco system, their filament has an rfid so your printer knows exactly what settings to use. A lot of people don't like how bambu needs to be online, telemetry is a huge deal for some. I work for the government with a clearance so not sure if I can have bambu since they send your data to china, haven't looked into it but really I just don't bother since I have 6 printers already

I'm looking for my first 3-D printer. I want to be able to print some realistic dinosaur skeleton pieces for decorations around my office. My research has led me to avoid Ender and go with something like the A1.

Should I be looking into getting the combo kit? I don't feel like I would ever print in multi color. Most of the things I print would be hand painted later on. Are there other benefits that I'm just not aware of to having four spools of filament available? Does it reduce waste or allow me to do larger prints without refilling or restarting a print?

Should I potentially be going with a P1P instead of the A1? I don't foresee myself printing in ABS, mainly PLA or PLA plus

If you're concerned about waste, AMS or any type of multi material would have a lot of waste. You can use the option "purge to infill" but you'll still have some waste. This is the reason why I haven't gotten AMS or any multi material unit and I'm in the process of designing a multi tool head on my converted ender 5 plus.

Forget the Enders. Great to learn on but can get frustrating. However, I heard the newer ones are better than the OG Ender 3, where I originally started. Either get the A1 or the new elegoo Centauri carbon, which is cheaper and has an enclosure. Centauri carbon is coming out with an AMD as well. I had my Centauri carbon shipped to my brother since I wanted him to have a printer and he's a total noob and he just prints with default settings without issues. But if you just want no nonsense, A1 has a proven track record to be reliable. But no enclosure so you're limited to PLA/PETG/TPU.

Bambu Lab A1+Combo

I have A1 Mini (too small and you will outgrow it)
A1 AMS-lite combo
P1S AMS combo - built like a tank
won't be getting X1C or H2D (no need for ABS etc) and P1S is a tank for core-xy for my needs)

Also have Flashforge AD5X now - this thing does not compare to Bambu when it comes to features but $399 price is good compared to A1 Combo (bed slinger though) but for $80 diff, I would get A1

I would buy from Micro Center because they gave a great return policy and customer service. If you buy from Bambu lab and have a problem then you have to send it back. Micro Center you just bring it in to them. Just my personal opinion

Another noob that is considering getting a 3d printer. between this and the flash forge why is this so much better in layman's terms in printing? is the A1 worth the extra $150 bucks?

Bambu are the easiest ones to use from all the information I've read. I have the A1 mini and took 20 minutes to get it printing. The A1 is bigger and I would get that if you have the extra money.

Ugh tempted to get rid of my k1 max or k2plus and get this. Sick and tired of the fiddling around. I just want a consistent first player and to be able to print TPU without a damn headache!

Try the QIDI Q1 Pro. Not sure about TPU, buts its plug and play for every print I've done, and top notch quality.

I cheaped out last year and got a K3 combo. Things keep breaking. They're sending me a new power supply now but I can't even sell it until it's fixed but things keep breaking before I can get around to it. Even when it's working, it's not great. I know some people Ihad good luck but I've suffered. I bought a P1S and you cannot believe the quality difference. Buy once cry once they say, but I don't think you'll be crying once you use it.

I bought mine through Best Buy, which was free shipping and I applied for the credit card and got $105 back in rewards. You just can't beat that.

Anyone try to grab one of these printers through the tiktok store with an extra coupon? Wasn't that a thing a year or two ago? Then I would be interested in switching from A1. As it sits, I would bet the farm an update to the P1S/X1C is around the corner. Already leaks on what could be a more cost effective H2D sized printer with a single extruder.
